Hajj (الحج) is the major pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah (مكة المكرمة), performed annually during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah (ذو الحجة). It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam (أركان الإسلام الخمسة), and every able Muslim is required to perform it once in a lifetime.

Umrah (العمرة) is known as the minor pilgrimage. Unlike Hajj, it can be performed at any time of the year and consists of rituals such as Tawaf (طواف) — circumambulating the Kaaba — and Sa’i (سعي) — walking between the hills of Safa (الصفا) and Marwah (المروة).

Both journeys are deeply spiritual experiences that cleanse the soul, bring closeness to Allah ﷻ, and renew one's faith.
